Hello and A Warm Welcome To my Personal Blog!.

Hello. My name is Kayla H. (A.K.A Sally the Skunk) and I am the Web Dev/Artist of the site. I dont have too many plans of what to write in here or how often I would update this blog. Although, I would like to set the inention of writing down some of the new skills and experiences from devloping my website.

If you want to see more of the technical side please refer to the "DevLog" section of the website. (page comming soon.)

Some of you are wondering, what exactly this blog (and the entire website as a whole) is really about. Well... to answer that question; I would need to give everyone context. I have been a member of the internet for the past 25 years. [to those who are curious: yes, I am a Millennial.] and durring that time; I witness the growth and evolution of what some like to call "The corperate web".

While I am impressed on how our online world had a bigger impact byond the dial-up of my youth, I have definatly noticed the internet today has been taken over by a monolpoly of a few corperations that use social media addiction to drive up profit. While I still use some of the same websites as everyone else, I noticed that my mental health and my humanity has been damaged from the "innovations" that were introduced as an adult.

Originally, I went to school to become an animator. Rencently however: I have been looking more into web development and the Inide Web Movment to create my own digital space. Over the past few weeks, I have started to teach myself how to code in HtML and Css (the coding language of customizing websites). I am still a beginner in this space but I have never felt more free on the web than ever before. I truly feel like I actually have a voice outside of the algorithm's and noise of creating choas for the sake of "going viral".

Outside of the website, I am a humble barista working at a local community college that I got animation training from. Although, I do want to explore the possibility of going back school to learn how to become a professtional web developer (preferbably front-end if possibile.)

I am also a:

A Trans Girl

Queer

gamer

A Skunk Furry

and many other things I would reveal in time.

As of this post, I am still a beginner at being a web dev and I don't know how to do everthing but I am excited to start this new chapter of my life online. I dont know where I would end up but, I am excited to see whats a head. Until next time, I will see you around.
